According to sources, the government plans to create a halal ecosystem in order to enhance halal food products in Bangladesh.
For this reason, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is organizing a diagnostic trip to Bangladesh in order to build a halal ecosystem as part of the IsDB Reverse Linkage project.
The Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, which is part of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Serunai Commerce Sdn Bhd (Serunai) from Malaysia are providing knowledge and expertise for this project.
During the proposed visit from 07-15 December, the members of the mission will sit with the stakeholders concerned to discuss the moot point.
The mission aims to prepare the Reverse Linkage project to enhance the human and institutional capacity of the Islamic Foundation in developing the ecosystem.
It will focus on conducting a contextual analysis to understand multiple influences and critical success factors to make things happen.
Besides, it will ascertain capacity strengths and design a relevant capacity development plan in addition to building mutual trust to implement it.
