Md. Sabur Khan, the chairman of the board of trustees and founder of Daffodil International University, has been chosen to serve as the International Association of University Presidents’ treasurer for the years 2027–2030.
According to a DIU press release, Sabur Khan is the first Bangladeshi to occupy a leadership role on this esteemed international platform.
The declaration was made on October 15 at the IAUP general assembly meeting, which was held at the Beijing Conference Center.
Tatsuro Tanioka, vice-chancellor of Tanioka Gakuen Education Foundation in Japan, will take over as secretary general of the IAUP, while Shawn Chen, founder and chairman of Sias International University in China, will serve as president.
Along with the Bangladeshi universities president delegates, around 700 participants from 53 countries, including Asia, Europe, America and Africa joined the conference
The outgoing president, Fernando León-García, president of the CETYS University, Mexico, warmly welcomed the newly elected officials, and added the press release.
