Hatimura (also known as Mayung Kapal) is a hilly path located in the Peraisara Union of Khagrachari District. It is also called Hatimura by some locals, and its Chakma name is Edo Sire Mon. Some people even call it the “Stairway to Heaven.” Over 15 villages use this difficult path to travel. A 308-foot-long iron staircase has been built to make life easier for people in border villages like Bhangamura, Badalchhara, Makhan Tesa Para, Kinapara Para, Hazapara, Bogra Para, Keshav Mahajanpara, Sadhupara, and Kapatlapra in Sadar Upazila and Matiranga Upazila.

How to get to Hatimura
To reach Mayung Kapal / Hatimura, first get off at the passenger shed in Jamtali on the Khagrachari Sadar to Panchari road. The fare from Khagrachari Sadar to Jamtali is 15 taka per person. From Jamtali, go straight along the left road and cross the Changi River. Then turn right towards the school road (Poltonjoy Government Primary School). After the school, you will find a shop. Take the right road after the shop and cross two bamboo bridges. Then, take the small road next to the stream and cross another bamboo bridge. From there, go straight ahead. You will reach a village called Bogra Para. Continue straight ahead and you will reach a large stream. Cross a large hill after the stream. After crossing the hill, you will reach a settlement called Kapatla.
